In the summer of 2000, the Walch family made a unique trip to visit the South American Country of Peru to see the"Sacred Valley" and the mysterious city Machu Pichu in the Andian Amazon Cloud Forest....Machu Picchu.

High in the Peruvian Andean moutains lies the capital of the Incan nation....CUSCO.

After a 3 hour train ride from Cusco through the Sacred Incan valley....riding along the Urambamba River, the train track ends at the small town at the base of Machu Picchu mountain.

The Pueblo Hotel is an oasis in the jungle....

On the far side of the Machu Picchu comples, lies the "New Mountain".....Wayna_Picchu. After a climb of approximately 900 stone steps, Christian and I found ourselves at the mountain top.....looking down on the Ancient City.
